Five out of five for City
Both sides have qualified for the round of 16 so this represents a straight shootout for top spot, and Leipzig need three points to have any chance at usurping their hosts at the summit.
The odds are against them as they face a side they have beaten just once in five meetings and who have won 25 and drawn two of their previous 27 matches at the Etihad Stadium.
Marco Rose’s side have a poor record on these shores too, losing their last four matches in England by an aggregate score of 20-3. They have also been out of form on their travels, losing three of their past four away matches, including a 2-0 Bundesliga defeat at 16th-placed Mainz earlier this month.
They look set to struggle against City, who have taken all 12 points available to them in the Champions League this term and beat Leipzig 7-0 last season.
However, Pep Guardiola’s side have been far from convincing in defence this term and they may fail to keep a Leipzig side full of attacking talent quiet on Tuesday evening.
They have recorded just two clean sheets in their previous 11 matches – against an inconsistent Manchester United and Swiss side Young Boys who failed to register a shot on goal – so there is a good chance the visitors will find the net.
Both sides have scored in Leipzig’s last four Champions League matches and City have netted in four of their five meetings, including in the reverse fixture last month when they triumphed 3-1.
Manchester City vs RB Leipzig tip 1: Manchester City to win and both teams to score @ 6/4 with Paddy Power
Both teams can get on the scoresheet
Three-one has been a winning scoreline for City in three of their four Champions League matches this term and the same outcome could occur on Tuesday. The hosts have scored at least three times in their last seven home games in Europe but may concede against a solid Leipzig side.
Guardiola’s team have already conceded in their away wins over group minnows Red Star Belgrade and Young Boys and they could struggle to cope with Leipzig’s potent attack.
Leipzig boss Marco Rose can unleash Xavi Simons and Lois Opendaon City’s shaky defence. They have scored 17 goals between them this season and they could land a blow in Manchester, even in defeat, with 3-1 rating as a likely scenario for Tuesday’s match.

Alvarez looks potent this season
Our final wager utilises Paddy Power’s bet-builder feature, with four different markets combining for a 13/1 selection.
Julian Alvarez may get a chance to start up front against Leipzig, with Guardiola likely to rotate his side and rest Erling Haaland. The Argentinian netted when coming off the bench in the reverse fixture and could repeat the feat, especially if he leads the line.
Leipzig full-back Benjamin Henrichs has been booked only once in the Bundesliga this term but he has already picked up two yellows in the Champions League this season and could gain his third in this match up against the tricky Jeremy Doku.
The visitors received two cards when these sides last met and they look likely to catch the attention of the referee more often than their hosts once again. City will dominate possession and Leipzig may grow in frustration, which could lead to needless fouls and potential bookings.
However, the German side boast a plethora of quick and tricky players and City, notorious for their tactical fouling methods, will bring counter-attacking Leipzig players down when they need to and they look likely to receive a card at the Etihad on Tuesday.
Manchester City vs RB Leipzig tip 3: Bet builder: Julian Alvarez to score, Benjamin Henrichs to be booked, City over 0.5 cards, Leipzig most cards @ 13/1 with Paddy Power
